Synopsis
The Plot
Richard Bean’s version of ‘The Servant of Two Masters’ is set in Brighton in the 1960s and is centred on the bumbling Francis Henshall, minder to two villains, Roscoe Crabbe and Stanley Stubbers. But Roscoe’s dead, killed by Stanley Stubbers and being impersonated by his sister Rachel, Stanley’s girlfriend, and in Brighton to collect £6,000 from Roscoe’s fiancee’s dad. Chaos unfolds as Francis tries to stop the two ‘guvnors’ from meeting. Richard Bean’s award-winning play is a glorious celebration of British comedy, with satire, songs and slapstick.
